Digital multimedia that uses a combination of video, images, text, and sound

  Example 1 Video game Megaman

Sound The music is upbeat and the sound effects match what is going on screen there's also a jovial and triumphant fanfare when bosses are defeated.

Animations The animations accurately portray what the player is doing and what the enemies and bosses are doing.  

Text This game has no in game text however the box art does. It’s bold, readable and the title has a 3D style.

As a bonus most of the shown text are sans serif making them easier for dyslexic people to read. Capcom’s old logo looks a bit odd; I think it’s the font and how it does C’s.

Example 2 App Insight Timer

Images 

The logo is a singing bowl on a plain white background. The overall aesthetic is calming and happy even when in night mode. The pictures are either of nature or smiling people. The categories each have a simple, black, and white icon signifying what kind of meditation it is.   Timer has a singing bowl like the app logo.  Sleep has a crescent moon to signify night.  Music is a musical note.  For parents trying to calm down their children this is portrayed by a rubber duck.  Beginners are portrayed using a single upward pointing leaf to signify new growth in the field of meditation.  Yoga is represented with a stick man doing a yoga pose.   Anxiety is represented with a simplistic lightning bolt and healing is a growing plant  There’s a map of the earth with each white dot representing people currently using the app, this ties into the app’s theme of community and makes users feel less alone.  

Sounds

The meditations have people speaking calmly and clearly with nature sounds and soothing music in the background.  

Text

The text is very clear and easy to read even when on night mode. You can differentiate between meditations, groups, courses and workshops. The text is close to Helvetica, it’s black on light mode and white on dark mode so that it contrasts with the background.  Workshops are shown using a blue label with white text in all capital letters. The courses have the same but with an orangish beige label and the events have a white label with red text.

Example 3 Web series Murder Drones

Visuals The thumbnail depicts a murder drone winking in a feminine pose while her knife fingers are covered in a blood-like substance behind her is a pile of robot corpses.  In the show there is a lot of darkness, dismembered robots and what looks like a blizzard all of this creates a tense atmosphere where death is around every corner.  

Text The text is inspired by light up signs with a skull as an o to portray death. Neon text in the Futura typeface shows what they’re feeling is sometimes displayed where their eyes are as well as error messages to fit with the robot theme.  

Sound The music is eerie when the main character is alone to build tension but when a fight does occur it’s paired with a sort of sci-fi orchestral piece that packs a punch.  The sound effects include a massive laser which is given emphasis via the other sounds ceasing when it is fired.  Other sounds in the episode are Gunshots, explosions, giant doors, and the sounds of advanced technology
